March Madness Basketball Tournament

TOURNAMENT RULES:
(Teams are encouraged to wear the same color shirt or jersey, but not required)

• Single Elimination (One loss and your team is eliminated)

• Teams can be made up of any combination of 4th or 5th grade students

• Games are played to 7 minutes or 7 points (Whichever comes first)

• Scoring by 1's & 2's (A regular basket is worth 1 point. A basket from outside the perimeter is worth 2 points) 

• Call your own fouls (It is your responsibility to say if you get fouled, Mr. Craig will help monitor)

• Ties get a 1-minute overtime "Next basket wins". (If still tied after overtime, flip of a coin)

• No "Back court pressure" (When teams get possession they can clear the ball to half court circle without defense. These are half-court games.)

• No arguing with supervisors (Arguing with Mr. Craig or any other teacher results in player ejection from the game) 

• All penalties shall result in the other team taking possession at the top of the court

• One team per player (Player can only play for one team during tournament)
